Gerri Ayers
President

Gerri started a group and incentive travel company, Travel by Ayers in 1982, to allow her to work from home after the birth of her daughter. The business evolved with a focus on meetings and events, which prompted changing the name to Ayers Meetings & Events, now one of the largest independent meeting planning companies in Houston, Texas. Gerri's attention to detail, positive attitude, and passion for her work have been fundamental to the success of the business.

Gerri is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Arkansas. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Katy Family YMCA and The University of Arkansas Alumni Association. Married to Dean Ayers since 1977, she has two children, Allisyn and Robert, and grandson, Hudson.

Allisyn is our gifted stylist; she has a keen understanding of how to bring the design elements together to make an impact. She keeps up-to-date on new trends and how to incorporate them into events. Her talents for style and hospitality have become fundamental assets of the company. It was her vision that initiated the wedding planning division and her leadership that has been critical to its success. She has an amazing ability to focus and get the job done in a professional, creative, and timely manner. Allisyn is a graduate of Baylor University and former coordinator for Ralph Lauren. She began working for Ayers Meetings & Events, Inc. in 2007. Allisyn also volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors for the Northpark YMCA, in Keller, TX.
Gayle Scott
Meeting and Event Manager

Gayle, a graduate of the University of Georgia, began working with Ayers Meetings & Events shortly after her return to Houston in 2006. Gayle brings her creative and artistic talents to our events and weddings; creating menu cards, programs and invitations. She is also an experienced on-site meeting manager, with her gentle, care-taking nature, hosting events in both international and domestic markets. Gayle also serves as a volunteer for Living Proof ministries.
Jodie Harper
Dir. of Operations/Project Manager

Jodie joined our team in 2008 to coordinate and direct the financial services to allow our company to operate efficiently. Her extensive experience in accounting and administration, get it done attitude, and enthusiastic smile are a great asset to our company.
On-Site Managers

Our experienced and enthusiastic team always ensures everything flows smoothly on-site, attending to every detail. They have a reputation for handling business in a skilled and professional manner. Every on-site manager has been trained to coordinate and direct all elements of meetings, events, and weddings. We are very proud to have this team as part of our company.
